Join the arts and culture movement with Culture Days

As Québecers, we were already familiar with Journées de la culture. Now that movement is going national, and Plank is right there helping to make it happen, with a brand-new website to launch it all.
Culture Days is a collaborative pan-Canadian volunteer movement to raise the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of all Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities. The annual, concurrent Culture Days events across Canada will feature free, hands-on, interactive activities that invite the public to participate “behind the scenes,” to discover the world of artists, creators, historians, architects, curators, and designers… in their community.
Heading toward the first Culture Days in September of this year, the website is the essential first step in the launch of the Culture Days initiative. The challenge in creating the site was to be able to develop a structure and presentation that will be able to handle the huge volume of information that will be disseminated from the site. There is going to be a wide range of events across the country, and a structure needed to be in place that could handle it all - all while appealing to the creativity that is the cornerstone of the Culture Days mission.
Well, as always when Creative Director GW Brazier is involved, mission accomplished. A visually-appealing design that accentuates the arts with a structure that will be able to handle all the Culture Days events published through the site and present them in an engaging way. The site also achieves the goal of getting everyone involved; because Culture Days is really all about you.
So check out the site and join the Culture Days movement - arts and culture in Canada will be all the better for it.
