Using Technology to Connect and Commemorate
For the 2nd time in about as many months, we hosted a Dungeons & Dragons night as a part of our on-going Games Night series of events.
One of our goals for 2016 was to invest more time into organizing a series of different office events. We've doing 2 standard events for years now (Plank Appreciation Day and our Holiday Dinner) but hadn't invested too much time into smaller, after-work gatherings. After a successful Board Game night earlier this year, Steve had the wonderful idea of having a Dungeons & Dragons night. Dungeons & Dragons is a fantasy tabletop role-playing game (RPG) originally designed by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson, and first published in 1974 by Tactical Studies Rules, Inc. (TSR). The game has been published by Wizards of the Coast (now a subsidiary of Hasbro) since 1997. D&D's publication is commonly recognized as the beginning of modern role-playing games and the role-playing game industry. [Source Wikipedia]
Given how well the first D&D night went we've decided to continue the campaign we started and more forward to find the "Lost Mine of Phandelver". I'm confident that we will encounter and destroy more Goblins along the way.
While this is officially an office event, if you are interested in playing D&D with the Plank team next time, feel free to send us an email. We are always happy to have another Bard, Paladin or Rogue join our party.
